Startup Pitch Deck: the Title Slide [+ Examples]
Are you building a pitch deck for your startup? The first impression of your pitch deck will be the first slide: the title slide. Let’s see how to nail your pitch deck and make a lasting impression to investors.
In this series of articles we show you how to create a stunning pitch deck for your startup.
The Title Slide explained
This is the front page of your presentation.
As such, make sure your title slide will catch investors’ attention so they open your pitch deck and dig further.
Make sure your product or value proposition is clear from the outset: use an image of your product itself or your end-user application or instance.
We strongly recommend to keep it clean and concise, the must have you need are:
- The logo of your business
- An image of your product or user application: someone using your product for instance
- The tagline: this is a catchphrase that communicates in a few words your brand. The purpose of a logo slogan is to convey your company’s mission in a way that audiences will remember and identify.
We also invite you to include things such as:
- Title of the document: investor presentation for example, along with the date (see below)
- Date: so you (or investors) can differentiate between different versions of your pitch deck
- Confidential watermark: include something like “Confidential – All Rights Reserved” with the name of your company throughout the presentation. Your pitch deck might have a lot of sensitive information, make sure it is clearly labelled as a confidential document
