Soccer Shots is a prominent name in the realm of children’s soccer, emphasizing a comprehensive approach that integrates physical activity, character development, and fun into its programs. Founded by Jeremy Sorzano and Jason Webb in 1997, the franchise began from a shared love for soccer and a passion for impacting the lives of children positively.

They initially launched Soccer Shots in Charlotte, NC, and Harrisburg, PA, following their experiences as soccer teammates in college and professionally. Recognizing a gap in quality soccer programs for children under eight, they embarked on creating a curriculum that was not only engaging but also aligned with early childhood education standards.

The success of the initial programs led to the franchising of Soccer Shots in 2005, with the opening of the first four franchises in Ohio, Delaware, Florida, and Pennsylvania. Soccer Shots distinguishes itself from competitors through its expert-approved curriculum that prioritizes both skill development and character formation.

Initial Franchise Fee

Upon execution of the agreement, a franchisee must pay an initial franchise fee of $36,500. This fee is non-refundable and deemed earned upon receipt, covering administrative costs, overhead, counsel fees, accounting, and other expenses associated with the execution of the agreement.

Royalty Fee

Franchisees are required to pay a royalty fee of 7% of their monthly gross sales. This fee is due monthly on the previous day’s gross sales. There’s a stipulation for a minimum royalty fee that ranges from $4,200 in the first year of operations to $10,500 by the fifth year.

Brand Fund Fee

A monthly brand fund fee of 0.5% of gross revenues is also mandated, with the right to change this fee not to exceed 2% of gross sales. The fee is paid in the same manner as the royalty fee, and the first payment is prorated based on the operations start date.

FAC Fee

An annual FAC fee of $100 is invoiced, used for meeting expenses, including travel and lodging for FAC members. This fee is waived for franchises owned by FAC members during their elected term.

Renewal Fee

A renewal fee of $5,000 is required for each renewal term of the franchise agreement, covering administrative costs, overhead, counsel fees, accounting, and other expenses related to the renewal.

Software License Fee

A sliding scale software license fee is applied, starting at 2% on the first $50,000 of gross sales each year and decreasing to 0.25% on any gross sales over $1,000,000. This fee pays for maintaining the Soccer Shots website, individual web pages, online enrollment system, and other related costs.
